Home Emsella Pelvic Floor Treatment Program

Emsella is a non-invasive treatment that strengthens the pelvic floor
using high-intensity electromagnetic technology.

It can help improve bladder control, support pelvic health,
and restore confidence without surgery or downtime.

How Emsella Works

Emsella uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) to stimulate the muscles of the pelvic floor. These muscles support the bladder and play an important role in urinary control and pelvic health.

During treatment, the technology causes approximately 11,000 – 12,000 pelvic floor contractions in a single session — far more than can typically be achieved with exercises alone. This helps strengthen the muscles and improve their coordination.

Each treatment session lasts about 30 minutes and is performed while you remain fully clothed and comfortably seated on the Emsella chair.

Who Emsella Helps

Emsella may benefit both women and men experiencing pelvic floor weakness. This can occur for a variety of reasons, including aging, childbirth, hormonal changes, or prostate treatments.

People often seek Emsella support if they experience:

  • Urinary leakage when coughing, sneezing, or exercising
  • A frequent or urgent need to urinate
  • Pelvic floor weakness after pregnancy or childbirth
  • Changes related to menopause
  • Pelvic floor weakness contributing to erectile dysfunction
  • Reduced pelvic floor strength that may affect bladder control or pelvic function

A consultation with our physician will help determine whether Emsella may be an appropriate option for you.

What a Treatment Session Is Like

Seeing the treatment process can help patients feel more comfortable about what to expect. During an Emsella session, you remain fully clothed while seated on the treatment chair. The device delivers focused electromagnetic pulses that stimulate the pelvic floor muscles, creating thousands of contractions during a single session.

Each treatment lasts about 30 minutes, and there is no downtime, so you can return to normal activities right away.

Patient Experience

Many patients describe improvements in bladder control, pelvic strength, and overall confidence following treatment.

We have included several short patient stories that describe their experiences with Emsella.

Individual results may vary.

Treatment Schedule

During your consultation, our urologist will review your health history and confirm whether this treatment schedule is appropriate for you.

Emsella treatments are typically performed as a series of six sessions, either once or twice per week. Your treatment frequency will be determined by the doctor at your consultation.

This schedule allows the pelvic floor muscles to gradually strengthen over the course of the treatment program.

Each session lasts about 30 minutes, and most patients are able to return to normal daily activities immediately afterward.

Treatment Investment

  • Each session is valued at $300.
  • The standard 6-session program is $1,800.
  • A promotional rate of $1,500 is currently being offered, meaning the 6th session is included at no charge.
  • This is a private-pay service and is NOT covered by Saskatchewan Health. Patients are encouraged to check with their insurance provider regarding possible coverage.
  • A complimentary consultation is provided to determine whether the program is appropriate for you.
